Hiking up a 14er in CO gave me the payoff I desired, fwiw.

The views, mixed with the feeling of achievement, along with the camaraderie with family and friends was all just great.

Hoping to do Angel’s Landing with my son and some of my siblings this summer.

That’s because he cheated by using that pillow.

He cheated not only headstands, but him self.
He didn’t grow.
He didn’t improve.
He took a shortcut and gained nothing.
He e xperienced a hollow victory.
Nothing was risked and nothing was gained.
It’s sad that he does n’t know the difference.

Sadly, Hobbes had been in and out of rehab for years, snorting coke off Puffalumps naked butts. It’s really a national tragedy. It turned  downhill after that... leading to the “shrink therapy incident”... That was the beginning of the end.
